Setting up Trezor Suite is quick, intuitive, and safe if you follow the official process. Start by downloading the latest version from https://suite.trezor.io. Avoid third-party downloads to prevent malware.
Once installed, connect your Trezor Model One or Model T via USB. The app will detect your device and guide you through setup. If your wallet is new, Trezor Suite will prompt you to install firmware, then generate a new wallet seed—typically 12 or 24 words. Write it down and store it offline. This is the only way to recover your wallet if the device is lost or damaged.
If you're restoring an existing wallet, choose “Recover Wallet” and enter your seed phrase using the secure on-device keypad (not the keyboard), to prevent keyloggers from stealing it.
Once initialized, Trezor Suite provides an overview dashboard, portfolio tracker, and account settings. Be sure to set a strong passphrase and optionally enable Tor for an extra layer of anonymity.
